Leah Ellenberg, O.D.
Dr. Leah Ellenberg graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She completed her optometric education at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. She was the recipient of the Schnurmacher Merit Scholarship, as well as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society and Gold Key International Honor Society.
Following graduation, she completed a one-year residency in Ocular Disease and Family Practice Optometry at the SUNY-affiliated East New York Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Brooklyn. During her residency, she received extensive training in the treatment and management of glaucoma and systemic eye conditions, including hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy. She has given CE lectures and presented at the American Academy of Optometry meeting.
Dr. Ellenberg joined Omni Eye Services as a consultative optometrist in 2016 and practices in the Brooklyn and Manhattan offices. In addition to providing her own patient care, she works alongside the practice specialists, managing patients in the pre- and post-operative surgical periods
Dr. Ellenberg is a member of the American Optometric Association and New York State Optometric Association. She is currently a candidate for fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. She is licensed to practice optometry in New York.
